OFFICE MODIFICATIONS FOR BURLINGTON SKYWAY

ARCHITtheque was successful for the RFP for this project and was retained by the Region of Halton, Water and Wastewater Treatment Public Works, as Prime Consultant to provide complete consultancy services including Architectural for renovation on the lower level of the original administrative building and exterior site work. The interior work included conversion of existing laboratory space to office space, accommodating 30 staff, and conversion of storage area to locker rooms. The exterior site work included the regrading of the existing driveway and parking area to mitigate ponding and to accommodate increased parking spaces, bike parking, and new sidewalk with accessible ramp, introducing landscape elements, and upgrading the site lighting.

SAAAC - South Asian Autism Awareness Centre  

SAAAC was created with the intention of inspiring families impacted by the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) with a special focus on the cultural elements in the South Asian community that pose particular challenges. SAAAC has now embraced all communities and, with a need to expand, they have moved their center to a newly designed 11,000 square feet facility at 705 Markham Road, Scarborough, which can be seen in the pictures. The new facility has 8 one-on-one training rooms, 4 ADE rooms, a sensory therapy room, a computer lab and a gymnasium, along with offices, a board room for staff, and a social entertainment room.

ARCHITtheque was retained as the architect to design, acquire permits, and administer the contract. The project was completed in July 2018.​

Auditorium Flooring
Halton Region and Halton Police Services

The Halton Regional Centre Gymnasium/Auditorium is a multi-purpose space that is used for sporting events, training classes, programs, conferences, social gatherings, farmers’ market, and various other events.  

ARCHITtheque was retained to assist in selection of the new flooring that would not only meet the sports flooring standards, but also be able to withstand all the other uses of the space. The entire construction process, consisting of the removal of existing vinyl flooring and preparing the base and installation of new flooring, was completed during the holidays (December 2016 to January 2017). ARCHItheque was involved in the tendering and construction administration for the project.

Herzing College

Herzing College is a career-focused education institute providing students with education and marketable skills that employers are seeking.

ARCHITtheque was retained as the architect to design, acquire permits and administer the contract for their new campus on Kodiak Crescent, as an extension to \PAT Institute. The project is in permit phase, with construction to start in near future.

ARCHITtheque was retained by the City of Mississauga as Prime Consultant to provide consultancy services for the replacement of flooring for the auditorium, office space and the kitchen / pantry and washroom and replacement of operable partition wall for the auditorium, along with items associated with the replacements, for the Frank McKechnie Community Centre.

Neurologic

Rehabilitation Institute of Ontario

NRIO, Mississauga

NRIO is a private brain injury rehabilitation facility, specializing in the assessment, treatment and care of individuals who have sustained a traumatic brain injury, a stroke, or other neurological illnesses.

ARCHITtheque was retained to assist the planners, Nick Dell Consulting, to design the renovation of the Mississauga branch of NRIO at 1320 Woodeden Drive such that it complied to the Ontario Building Code.  As part of the upgrades, sprinklers and fire rated separations were added, and the facility was designed to be safer and more accessible.

Health Clinics at Oakville and Burlington
Halton Region - Security and Access Control 

The Halton Region Health Department operates health clinics on South Service Road in Oakville and on Fairview Street in Burlington. ARCHITtheque was retained by the region to provide consultancy services to improve the security and access control in both locations. Both clinics were upgraded to have barrier free accessibility and 'double-locking' systems in accordance with the latest Halton Region code requirements.

Queen's College of Business, Technology, and Public safety, Mississauga

The Queen's College opened their Mississauga location in 2016 at 121 Brunel Road. It offers a variety of courses, from computer networking  to police foundations, to Canadian and International students.

ARCHITtheque was retained as the architect to provide their professional services in forms of code review, permit submission, and review during construction. 

The college needed additional space for expanding and was offered  additional space at 111 Brunel Road and  ARCHITtheque is associated in this expansion project.
